Then came the decision to notch each strut piece a certain way so as to place them onto hubs, which only takes a few hours out of a day per set. I used smooth and thin, laminated, 7-layer plywood (1/2-inch thick) for 50 hubs, so that each frame of the dome will quickly slide together; and be built in less than an hour.
